UPDATE FOR 10/30/05
Roller Coaster Alley is excited to report that Silverwood Theme Park's
new attraction for 2006 has been announced. Below, you will see the concept art of the
new 120-foot drop tower planned for the former site of the Ballonn Bath, in the coaster alley
section of the park:

The new ride will stand 140 feet, and at the top will feature Silverwood's mascot, Garfield.
The Larson-International drop tower will seat 12 people at a time, with an hourly capacity
of 360 riders. The ride will ascend at a slow 0.7 mph, and once reaching it's peak, will stall,
and then drop riders straight down in freefall, at speeds of up to 47 miles per hour.

The Spokesman Review has an article on this new ride that you can read
here.
Roller Coaster Alley will be with you every step of the way as this new ride progresses, from the upcoming contest to name the attraction, all the
way up to opening day. If you have pictures of the construction that you'd like to share, please
send us an e-mail and we'll post them here on RCA.
Be sure to keep checking RCA for updated information on the new drop tower throughout the offseason!
